Tsubame Shimura (志村燕, Shimura Tsubame) is a Jōnin-ranked kunoichi from Konohagakure and a member of the Shimura clan. She was a Anbu from Root before it disbanded and granddaughter of Danzo Shimura.

Background

Tsubame as a child with her Grandmother

When Tsubame's parents , Kōzō Shimura and Naomi Isesaki died suddenly when she was still young, Tsubame was taken in by her grandmother, Misao. She spent several years with her until she eventually dies from a sickness herself. Since Tsubame had no one close to rely on, she soon ends up with her grandfather, Danzō Shimura however, she does not live with him for her own safety. She enrolls into the academy later on.

After becoming a genin, Tsubame ends up training to become part of Root; something that was against her parents and grandmother's wishes. During this time, she eventually meets and is partnered with Tozawa Omishima. She officially becomes an Root member after 2 years of training at the age of 14.

Personality

Tsubame is a kind-hearted and reserved yet stocial women. During her years in Root, Tsubame placed her feelings for others aside in order to get the job done. She was cruel in how she worked and took things very seriously. However, she still held on to the belief that what she was doing was wrong which is why she later left the organization.

Appearance

Tsubame resembles her father and grandfather respectively. She has an olive-complexion with long, black hair that is parted on both sides and her eyes are light brown. She usually wears a sleeveless top with tan pants and knee high boots. She also wears a pouch around her waist, long gloves and a forehead protector.

During her years in Root, she wore a long sleeved version of the organization's jacket, midriff top with mesh armor underneath. Her forehead protector was around her waist and her Anbu mask resembled a mouse. She also carries around a tanto.

During the Forth Shinobi World War, she dons the standard Konohagakure flak jacket.
