Tenjun Senju (千手添楯, Senju Tenjun?) is a shinobi of two of Konohagakure's most famous clans, the Uchiha clan and the Senju clan . Famed as Red Eyed Oni (赤目鬼, Akame no Oni, literally meaning:The oni with the red eyes?) or also Senju of the Sharingan (赤目鬼, Senju no Sharingan, literally meaning: Senju of the Copy Wheel Eye?), he is one of Konoha's most talented ninja. In the village, however, he is better known as Wolf (大神, Okami?) because of his rank as the Anbu Commander. He fell into a coma during the Third Shinobi War and only woke up after 22 years, when Naruto returned to the village after two years. The villagers have known him for a long time only as Okami with a mask, an advisor to the Hokage and later as the Sixth Hokage Canditate (六代目火影候補, Rokudaime Hokage Kōho, literally meaning: Sixth Fire Shadow Candidate?).

Early life[]
Tenjun as a baby.
He was born seven years after the founding of Konoha in the same year where Hashirama and Madara fought. He's a year older than the Sannins. His childhood, however, was not the easiest, as his parents were a Senju and an Uchiha. Even before he was born, his parents had a lot of headwinds and Yushiko was treated like a leper. He learned already as a small child, that many didn’t like his existence. Uchihas pulled their children away from him because he wasn’t pure. And the others were afraid of his origin because his mother was Madara's sister. They never said something to him in the presence of his father, because they feared his anger. He grew up very protected and his family loved him. His father taught him how to fight at an early age but gave him the freedom he didn't have as a child because of the war. Tenjun loved his uncle as a toddler, who taught him and Tsunade tricks and showed him his beloved village. When the first Shinobi War began and Hashirama died, Tenjun quickly realized that many things would change. He was only 4, but now his dad was Hokage. Many Shinobis didn't come back from the war. This time shaped him, how the mood in the village became sad and tense. His father was less and less present, he was looked after more and more by his mother. When she wasn't around, he was looked after by his aunt and uncle.

One year later, he activated his Sharingan after his father didn’t come back from the peace negotiations. Tenjun heard that the Kingin Kyōdai killed his father and through the emotions he got his sharingan. Kagami became his teacher and trained him in sharingan jutsus and skills. After Kagami’s death in the same year, Tenjun developed an aversion to lying. Both his father and Kagami have broken their promises. Tenjun watched now others and quickly noticed that he could read the feelings and behavior of others. Other villagers quickly realized that he could be honest, just like his father, and asked why they lied. He could be very rude and react without understanding to the other's discomfort.
The aversion, previously covered, had worsened. Meanwhile, the uchihas showed their aversion directly and called it "scum," a sign for impurity. He was nicknamed "Red Eyed Freak" because of his unnatural silver hair and red marks for an Uchiha. It didn't help that he was otherwise very nice to the villagers and always offered them help. As he quickly realized that the kindness of many was only feigned, he withdrew. The uchihas said he was not enough uchiha and the villagers said he looked too much like the cold-blooded uchihas because of his black eyes. As a distraction, he concentrated on learning and soon earned top grades, earning him recognition as a prodigy and the best of his generation. He graduated from the academy in one year and was praised as a genius. His mother began to teach him swordsmanship, which he began to love. From then on, all you saw was him walking around with a sword. Upon becoming genin, he and his classmates, Kotetsu Uchiha and Dan Katō, were teamed together under the leadership of Torifu Akimichi, a former student of his father.

He quickly became friends with Dan, but Kotetsu didn’t like him at the beginning because of the talking of his father. In time, however, Kotetsu noticed that Tenjun had many of the characteristics of an uchiha due to his mother. Kotetsu increasingly admired Tenjun's intelligence and his love for his family and friends. They began to train together and the three young genins soon had the same idea that the village was a big family and was the most important part for a shinobi.
At age 10, Konoha officials allowed Tenjun to compete in the Chūnin Exams with his team. Two years later Kotetsu was killed during a mission. Tenjun activated his Mangekyō Sharingan. He never talks much about it and doesn’t like to remember it. All he's saying is that he didn't succumb to the curse of hate because he because he blamed himself. He thought it was his fault, for the reason that his thoughts were absent during the mission because he was worried about his mother. She withdrew more and more and let others train Tenjun. Two years later, he learned why she retired as a Shinobi. He just got back from a mission and wanted to surprise his mother. When he came to the apartment, he saw his mother coughing up blood and then collapsing. He called for help, and she was taken to the hospital. The doctors said that they couldn’t help her, that she had to get help earlier and that her illness was too advanced. From then on, Tenjun visited his mother every day and told her about his experiences. One day he visited her again, and she seemed to be feeling better. She told him that she was so proud of him and that he was so much like his father, but also had so much of her brother. Especially the eyes would remind her of her little brother. Tenjun has always loved the stories of his mother's past and always questioned them. She told him how the three Uchiha siblings were always doing trips before beginning of the war. Although they had to take part in fights at an early age, the three siblings shared their aversion to fighting and preferred to train for themselves. Tenjun liked to listen and wanted to ask more questions but noticed that she was getting more tired. He said goodbye and promised to come back the next day. However, he received a mission the next day and managed to arrive late in the evening. When he arrived, the doctors and the Hokage were waiting for him.
His mother died.
They told him that his mother had died. This reminded him very much of his father's death, but at that time he still had Kagami and his mother. He locked himself in for five days and only his team got him out of grief.
Shortly after, his team disbanded because Dan also became Jonin. The Hokage assigned Tenjun to the Anbus. Here he soon became the leader of a team. Even though Tenjun was now in Anbu, Dan and he still met regularly. That's how he found out that Dan had fallen in love with Tsunade. He was very happy about them and unlike Tsunade's team member, he didn’t react negatively to them. But he was a little concerned that their engagement was a little early. Then, however, the second Great Shinobi War began.
The two Shinobi wars[]
Then the second shinobi war began twenty years after first. Tenjun had meanwhile risen to the rank of Anbu Commander and reacted furiously to the fact that the Hokage started a war just because he wanted to enlarge the borders. The peace talks didn't help either, soon Iwagakure got involved. The war became a great Shinobi War, which was mostly fought in small villages and countries. Tenjun, who could still remember the first one, had great problems with the many dead civilian. Like many others, he became famous in that war. When he was called Red Eyed Freak before, he became famous in the war as The Red Eyed Oni. Because he also had many covert missions and carried out assassinations with a wolf mask in his anbu attire, he was soon known as Okami. For a long time, however, it was not known that he was one and the same person.
Dan dies.
Then his comrade and friend Dan died, his cousin Tsunade almost lost her mind and was afraid of blood ever since. He understood that she wanted to leave the village as soon as possible. Since he was now attending all Konoha Council meetings with the Hokage as an advisor, he noticed how the others wanted to manipulate the Hokage and he has many faults. Tenjun didn't understand many decisions and still resented the fact that Hiruzen had started the war. The climax came when his classmate Sakumo returned from a failed mission. As a result, one war had just ended and the next had already begun. Sakumo then killed himself out of shame and because of the haunting of his teammates. Tenjun rarely raises his voice, but here he shouted at the Hokage and accused him of missing backbone. Even the two Anbus outside flinched and looked around anxiously. This was one of the few moments when the earth shook, and his chakra made the air around him heavier. The Hokage offered him to become Hokage himself as compensation.

Tenjun's confirmation made him a Hokage candidate and Hiruzen proposed this directly to the Konoha Council. Utatane and Shimura liked the idea, they were happy that the son of the second Hokage would become himself one. But Danzo, who himself hoped to become Hokage, became angry and was against it. He argued that Tenjun owned the Sharingan and that this was a threat to the village. Tenjun became suspicious and asked questions, Danzo flinched and said he would accept the election. He suggested that the official appointment be made only after the war. Tenjun also asked to adopt Kakashi. All three members of the council were against it, but the Hokage accepted his request.
The attempted Assassination[]

Since Tenjun was a team member in charge of the Anbus and his missions were important to the outcome of the war, he had to go on a mission again before he could meet Kakashi. But there was no meeting, because Tenjun was badly wounded in the war. He was hit in the back of the head and fell to the ground. The last thing he saw were two Konoha Anbus moving away from him. Then he fainted and was found hours later by some Konoha Jonin. He was taken back to Konoha and the Medi-Nins put him in an artificial coma. The Hokage and the doctors quickly realized that an assassination attempt had been made on him and that the culprit. came from their own ranks. The Jonin were bound to secrecy. The Hokage only revealed that he was wounded in battle and is now in a coma.

The only ones who knew about the truth were the Konoha Council, the Jonin who found him and a few Anbus who were supposed to start looking for the culprit. He continued to receive regular visits from his aunt Mito and later also from Kushina and Minato. Mito was sure that Tenjun would eventually wake up and tried to speed it up by jutsus. But she was already old and so it seemed that the jutsus had no effect. However, she never gave up hope and told everyone that he would wake up. After Mito's death, Kushina saw it as a duty to visit him regularly. In another flashback, one can also see that his sensei Torifu Akimichi visited him often.
Personality[]
Since his early childhood, Tenjun was very quiet and preferred to watch his surroundings, therefore people thought he was very shy and often wondered why he was so different from his father. Since he preferred to observe others, he quickly realized that he had a talent for reading other people’s emotions and that he could tell when someone was lying. But he kept it to himself that someone lied to his father or spoke to Tenjun because he wanted something from Tobirama. After the death of his father, he had a huge anger in him and didn’t understand why he had sacrificed himself for others. His calm nature quickly changed into a dismissive and arrogant behavior. He quickly became angry if someone treated him like a child or lied to him. He was angry because his Father had lied that he would come back. The young senju would quickly be disappointed by others and yell at the grown-ups. He became colder and chastising any who responded evasively or promised him something he couldn't keep. He developed a kind of negative reaction towards lies that went as far as Hate for Lies. Even he forbade himself to lie and retains this behavior into old age. As an adult, he reacts much more calmly, but often manages to affront others like Danzo or Envoys from other villages. It also shows that he has something of his father’s behavior. Tenjun is like his father a stern man who speak bluntly about most topics, never sugar-coating facts or the matter at hand. He has a pragmatic approach to life, believing that many of the world's problems could be solved through well-defined rules and laws. Though his words could often come off as rude or insensitive, especially when he accused others of lying, Tenjun himself is like his father calm and rarely getting riled up or reacting emotionally. Even if he doesn’t show it and often directly expresses what he thinks, he can be sensitive and have a very calming effect. Many of his colleagues notice how they become calmer in his presence and are not afraid of the mission. In his quiet moments and when he is private with his friends, he seems more like his mother. It also has many traits of an Uchiha. He has an unbelievable love for his village and his clans. He was taught early that family and the village were the most important. He often seeks the closeness of his friends and clan members. Every time he loses someone, he clings to the next person and looks for support. Even as an adult, he seeks the closeness of others. Most of the people in his past are already dead, but when he needs a kind of pillar in depressed moments, he goes to the village incognito and seeks the proximity of the villagers. But he never shows this directly, for fear of rejection. In his childhood many were afraid of him. His classmates called him "Red Eyed Oni" because of his eyes and his untypical appearance for an Uchiha. Many adult Uchihas sees him as a sign of his mother’s betrayal to the clan, because his mother as Madara's sister didn’t marry a Uchiha. As an adult, he is still very afraid of being rejected and rarely talks about his Origin. He shows his love more through his job advisor to the Hokage and Anbu Commander, even though he never thought it was just a job. He has made it his mission to protect Konoha with his live and to do everything to progress the village. His love is probably his biggest weakness. When someone threatens his family, friends, or the village, he even reacts bloodthirsty and rash. As a Genin and even as a young adult, his master had to stop him from doing something without thinking. Otherwise, he always seemed prepared and reacted with calculus, but when it came to something that was important to him, he reacted rashly. When his comrade and friend Kotetsu was kidnapped because of his sharingan, Tejun tried to break into the enemy camp without a plan. After his friend died and Tenjun found the killer, he beat him to death. He loses control and only sees red. People don't see him doing hobbies in public. He seldom shows that he has enthusiasm for anything other than bringing his village forward. He shows through actions rather than emotions that he believes in the Will of Fire. The only time someone sees him doing anything other than standing behind the Hokage or performing missions is when he cooks before being called to the Hokage. It seems like he likes cooking and making up recipes. For example, he searches the village shops for recipe books or takes notes of ideas. He's rather embarrassed about this hobby. His sensei Kagami asked in his childhood, if he is embarrassed because it would admit that he was simple human. He never got an answer, just a grumbling of nonsense. Only after his retirement from active duty, Tenjun shows more of his privat side. He smiles more and sometimes makes a joke, even if he would never admit he made one. This is also a side that you only see when he's with Misara and friends.
Appearance[]
Tenjun has a strong resemblance to his father, so much so that they are sometimes mistaken for each other. He has the same spiky silver hair; some strands hang over his greyish forehead protector. His eyes are the biggest difference to his father, so they are typically black as every Uchiha. Many already thought that his eyes were very similar to Izuna in shape and if he hadn’t the hair and red marks like his father, he would be a second Izuna. Later people notice his Uchiha ancestors even more because he looked very similar to Kagami-sensei in face. He has softer facial features and appeared more feminine in his younger years than his father. Only with age did he get tougher traits, which is also due to his hardened facial expressions.
In Part I and Part II he wears a long dark grey top with a high collar with left slightly open. He also wears trousers and sweater with long sleeves under the grey shirt, which can be seen under his long top. As the Anbu Commander he wears over his grey top a light grey flak jacket, strapped up sandals and arm guards that went up to his elbows. Unlike the other Anbus, he has a belt tied around his waist with a weapon pouch. He has also black scarf and wears a short sword on his back. His anbu mask is a white cat with similar red markings as on his face. The mask is always on his face, the first time the other sees his face is in Part 2. Tenjun wore several different outfits prior to Part I. But he always wore a grey shirt with hight collar like every Uchiha. It is the only piece of clothing he always wears, even when his outfits change, and he rise in the ranks. As a child and before he became a Shinobi, he wore a dark blue haori with a light blue collar. His casual clothes under the haori consisted of a black shirt with the Senju clan symbol on the back, bandages around his ankles, and black sandals. He wore tan pants with a weapons pouch strapped to his back. His hair was longer, and his features were feminine. Even as a child he had already the same red marks as his father. As an adult he changed his long shirt in a long grey top with a high collar with left slightly open and his clan's crest on back. He wore grey pants and mesh segments over the lower portions of his legs and bandages around his right thigh with a weapon pouch. In combat, he added a sword strapped on his back and a blue armor with numerous metal plates, formed into multiple protective guards along his body. In addition, he wore fingerless gloves and a white obi with a grey belt and a second weapon pouch around his breastplate.
Abilities[]
A prodigy with skills inherited from his father and mother. Tenjun is one of his village's strongest shinobi produced and has earned recognition on sight by various high-level ninja. He was training already as a child by his father and his mother, proved by the fact that he became a genin at a young age and later became the Anbu Commander and an advisor of the Hokage. Since he is a Senju and Uchiha, he has large chakra and ability to do a variety of jutsus. He is also known for his strategies and talent with the sharingan. The name “Red Eyed Oni” that was originally an Insult, became a name known beyond the borders of the Land of Fire. Many Uchiha’s said about him that his abilities could be compared to Izuna Uchiha or his sensei Kagami. He is a master in all three ninja skills and kenjutsu too, because he learned as a child to use a sword. Because of his chakra, he has a great stamina and can sustain Justus for a long time.
Chakra and Physical Prowess[]

Since he's descended from two of Konoha’s greatest clans, he inherited their life-force and physical energy. Even from his youth, Tenjun showed very advanced chakra control, able to channel chakra to enhance his strikes, to smash large boulders and last a long time on a battlefield. His chakra reserves are large enough to fight with Sharingan for a day without exhaustion and even endure several mortal wounds. But he rarely activates his sharingan, thus saving a lot of chakra. His reserve of chakra helps him to do many seals at the same time and control genjutsus over a long time. He can summon several large wolves by offering large amounts of chakra and can wrap his sword with chakra. When he releases his chakra through emotions, it makes the earth tremble and people describe it as space-filling and that it makes them struggle for air.

But Tenjun's greatest ability is probably his kenjutsu skills. He is a master swordsman who wields the katana Chimidoro Raretajin (血塗られた刃, Bloody Blade, literally meaning: Blood-soaked blade?)". He learned from his mother the art of Iaido, a skill with speed and precision of strikes which can inflict a lethal blow on his opponent without staining the blade with blood. The name “Bloody Blade” comes from Tenjuns ability to wrap his sword with his red chakra. Tenjuns skills were often compared to Izunas, and even Mifune noted that he mastered his sword like an extension of his arm.
Unfortunately, he lost strength and endurance due to his long coma, which he gained back partly by training. He can no longer use as many jutsus as before and has difficulty maintaining genjutsus. If he uses chakra for too long, his hands start shaking, his body cramps and he loses consciousness.
Ninjutsu[]

Tenjun grew up at a time when Shinobis preferred more their physical abilities than ninjutus. Even though he is a master of Kenjutsu, as a Shinobi from two clans he was taught in many jutsus. He can use many Jutsus without sharingan. Over the years, due his Sharingan, he gained a vast arsenal and gained the name “Red Eyed Oni” during the Third Shinobi war. His greatest ninjutsu speciality are Fūinjutsus, a skill he inherited from his father. He has created many of today's seal scrolls, including weapon seals and forbidden jutsus. After he realized what damage his father's jutsus did, he sealed them too.
Since childhood, Tobirama was an adept sensor. By touching the ground with his finger, he could accurately detect the presence and location of targets in the surrounding area. A skill that helps him a lot and together with the wolves gave him the name Okami as an Anbu.

Tenjun made a pact with the wolves in his youth, one of the few who made it. Unlike Ninkens, they are wild animals and have a free will. In the field, he summons them to fight at his side against enemies or when they pick up tracks. More commonly, he uses the larger wolves for sitting and fighting on their head.
Nature Transformation[]
Tenjun uses a Fire Release technique.
Tenjun can use all five basic nature transformations, along with Yin and Yang Release, because of his sharingan. As a half Uchiha, he had a natural affinity for Fire Release, learned the clan's Great Fireball Technique at a very young age from his mother. His second affinity was with Water Release. Like his father he can perform powerful without an external water source, as well as shape existing water into tendrils to strike his opponents from all directions.

Genjutsu[]
As anbu he uses very often Genjutsus, which often involved that people saw their loved ones die or get hurt. He used this to interrogate the prisoners without hurting them. He learned the use of Genjutsus mainly from his master Kagami, a master of genjutsus. Tenjun can use genjutsu to share information or psychologically disable opponents, letting him end the fight instantly. Unfortunately, since he woke from the coma, he has a problem to maintain Gejutsus for a long time and gets tired quickly because of chakra exhaustion.

Sharingan[]
Tenjun's Sharingan.
Tenjun awakened the Sharingan at age 5, after he heard his mother being told that his father had died. His mother asked Kagami, a former student of Tobirama, to train the young boy in Sharingan basics. He soon realized that Tenjun had excellent abilities even as a half Uchiha and that the fear of many Uchihas was wrong, that the sharingan would be contaminated and be weaker by the blood of a non-uchiha. From a young age, he demonstrated skill and power superior to most members of his clan. The Sharingan allows Itachi to see the flow of chakra, predict movements, as well as facilitate his use of genjutsu.
Mangekyō Sharingan[]

Tenjun awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan after witnessing Kotetsus death. His Mangekyō's design looks like a form of two starts with 6 pinwheels. He doesn’t appear to suffer any adverse effects from using his Mangekyō Sharingan, such as the deteriorating eyesight or exhaustion experienced by others. Itachi could cast sophisticated and elaborate illusions, forcing the target to experience an entire lifetime in an instant. His Genjutsus are strong enough to fake pain and feelings, therefore he often uses them on prisoners or suspects.
Tenjun's Susanoo.
Having awakened the Mangekyō in both his eyes, Tenjun could also use Susanoo. When used in full, Tenjun was surrounded by a silver spectral warrior that would protect him from damage. This version has like him the red markings on his face. The Susanoo form wears still his sword Chimidoro Raretajin, that he can clone and thus Susanoo holds two swords. Tenjun can also wrap these two blades with his red chakra and strengthen the power.
Another ability in his Susanoo form is called Ōkuninushi (大国主 jap. grand lord). He can wrap a shield around others to protect them. His Susanoo is thus the only one that can protect others outside the armor, like Naruto with his chakra. It's so strong that even Madara recognizes its abilities.
Intelligence[]
Tenjun is very intelligent, graduated from the Academy even younger than Itachi and he was a Jonin as fast as Kakashi. In combat, while usually offensive without pause, Tenjun is very observant, being mindful to all factors as he goes and analyzing his opponents' techniques to understand their mechanics and purposes. Even as a child, he preferred to watch others and notice when someone was lying and soon acquired the skills of a human lie detector. He seemed blunt and too honest to many, as he always told others directly that they were lying and that they should come up with something better. However, he has difficulty interpreting the behavior of others unless it is about finding out lies. For a long time, he has trouble understanding that Misara likes him more than a comrade. It also seems that he doesn’t always hit the right time and seems cold and reproachful. Many of his comrades have already told him that he should never hold peace talks, because he would insult others with his honesty. He showed himself to be a shrewd tactician and strategist, able to analyse a great deal of information, anticipate actions and use it to quickly formulate or reformulate highly effective plans quickly and calmly. He usually uses the clone techniques, while he observes an opponent and their abilities. In battle, he shows his experiences and knew when to intervene. He uses his sharingan rather seldom and only when it is necessary. Many of the younger generation therefore don’t know that he owns the Sharingan. When he intervenes and fights seriously, he never shows mercy and usually kills his opponents. He was known for launching surprise attacks on opponents who think they've won and have let their guard down. As Anbu, he liked to attack from behind and take advantage of their inattention. Like his father, he invented some jutsus and, among others, many seals. In his youth he noticed in that some jutsus aren’t for the public and sealed them.
Weakness[]
Due to his long coma, his body has lost muscle mass and his hands tremble after a short time. He can no longer maintain his jutsus as he used to. His brain also became slower, thinking too much at the beginning was very difficult for him. His stamina and Force are lower. He can’t maintain his sharingan to long, much less Genjutsus. After he woke up, he was in a wheelchair for a while. He gets chakra exhaustion faster and then his hands start shaking, his breathing becomes flat, and he faints. In the beginning, he had even problems to read, and it was only through Tsunade's care that he was able to participate in the fourth shinobi war. He still needs leg splints to support his legs, as his muscles have weakened here as well.

Part I[]
During the Chunin exam he still is in coma, but Hiruzen visit him just before the Chunin exam and said it would be sad that it would take him so long to come back and that he misses him as much as his father. The next time you see him is after Tsunade came back to the village. When Tsunade gets back, the villagers want her to become the hokage immediately. Before that can happen, Tsunade heals the damage of Sasuke, Kakashi and Lee. As she was about to leave the hospital, she noticed Tejuns room. She opened the door and found Tenjun in the bed, emaciated and yet looking younger as he should be. As a Hokage, she immediately searched for a solution. She was shocked by what happened to Tenjun after she read the sealed Reports from the assassination.
Part II[]
Tsunade still searches for a solution and found her grandmother’s notes about Tenjun’s Situation and the reports of observations on Tenjun's constitution. Others had also noticed his slow aging and that despite thinning and muscle loss, he looked younger than his age at the time. Only Tsunade came up with the idea, after she had read Mito's notes, that her grandmother accidentally activated a jutsu, that slowed his aging. She also found out that this jutsu was supposed to heal him, but instead stopped the time for him and slowed his physical development. Unfortunately, this Jutsu froze Tenjuns body and didn't let him wake up. Over the two years, however, she managed to remove the jutsu piece by piece, and he woke up the very morning Naruto came back to the village. His body is very weak at the beginning, and he is in the hospital for a long time. He has trouble to see known people became older and understanding that so much has changed. He thinks he's in a genjutsu at first, especially since he can't remember the blow to the back of his head. He also has memory gaps and quickly gets headaches. His hands are shaking all the time, and it's only going away with medication. He must start over again and build up his muscles piece by piece. Tsunade said he was lucky because the jutsu had slowed everything down. Otherwise, he'd be just skin and bones. However, Tenjun soon realized that his abilities had slowed down and that he no longer had as much chakra as before. This is probably since this jutsu also went for his chakra reserves and now he can no longer maintain jutsus for so long. As he lies in bed at night, he notices a man sneaking in and he senses his killing intent and plays himself to be asleep. When someone tries to put a pillow on his face, he fights back and manages to fend off the enemy with difficulty. The enemy stumbles back and Tenjun tries to get out of bed. He immediately notices the exhaustion and that his body is already fighting against fatigue. The silver-haired Shinobi knows he can't do anything against the enemy. When he turns around, he recognizes an Anbu and knows that his enemy is way stronger than him in the moment. He retreats to the window, having just awakened he has difficulty standing on his feet and has no weapon to defend himself. The Anbu comes closer and pushes Tenjun to the ground. Just as he tries to squeeze, someone stabs the Anbu from behind. His savior pushes the Anbu to the side fand reveals himself as another Anbu. The next moment Tsunade and another Medi-nin rush in. Tsunade helps Tenjun stand up and thanks the Anbu. Tenjun nods in agreement and sits down on the edge of the bed, breathing heavily. Tsunade heals Tenjuns wounds and commands the Anbu to removes the mask from the dead. No one in the room knows the men. Tenjun ask if Tsunade shouldn’t know every name of her Anbus. She says, she knows everyone, but not this one and therefore thinks that he isn’t really a Anbu. She asks the young Anbu with the black hair if he knows this man. He shakes his head and asks if he can leave. But Tsunade asks him to take care of Tenjun as a mission from now on. Tenjun doesn't like this, he thinks he doesn't need help. The Hokage yells at him and stomps out of the room after she commanded to bring the body to the Autopsy. Tenjun and the Anbu looked at each other. Tenjun says he's sorry that Anbu is now punished with him and has more important things to do. The Anbu says no and thinks it's okay. He introduces himself as the Anbu Cat, but after Tenjun asks, he also reveals his real name Shinji. From now on, Shinji accompanies him everywhere.
Akatsuki Suppression Mission[]
Tenjun asks for a meeting with Kakashi. He finally wanted to explain to the grown-up Kakashi what he had planned after Sakumo died. When Kakashi enters the room, he notices Shinji straining behind him and moving further into the shadows. He has the thought of asking him later, but first dedicates himself to Kakashi. Who is friendly, but Tenjun notes his insecurity. Kakashi is one of the few who knew him from before. Kakashi says Tsunade said Tenjun wanted to talk to him and asks for the reason. Tenjun explains, although Kakashi probably doesn't remember, but they met briefly when Tenjun visited Sakumo. The two Shinobis knew each other and although Sakumo was a few years younger, he always regarded him as a comrade and was angry when he heard about Sakumos Suicide. He saw it as his Friendly service to look after Sakumo's son and asked Hiruzen for Kakashi guardianship in that night. Tenjun remarked that it was probably too late now, and he was very sorry. If he'd known he'd be in a coma for that long, he wouldn't have asked for this adoption. Kakashi is shocked but reassures Tenjun. He knew the Anbu Commander only by name and only saw him that one time or when he walked through the streets and was admired by others. But Kakashi says that he was glad to hear that someone had been worried and had gone so far against the third hokage. Tenjun explained, that the Hokage didn’t want to give any support and saw the little boy as an adult because of his shinobi rank. To ease the tension, Tenjun changes the subject. He asks him what he was doing in the meantime, and he was pleased that he had a former Anbu and now a sensei in front of him. Kakashi thanked him and then asked him if he wanted to come to the training ground. There he could meet Naruto and Yamato. He accepts the offer and Shinji follows them. On the way there, Kakashi explains who Naruto is and what they are trying to do. Arriving at the training ground, Tenjun is slightly out of breath and leans against a tree. Kakashi calls Naruto and Yamato over and introduces Tenjun. Naruto reacts surprised because many of the younger generation know nothing about "The Red eyed Oni". But Naruto notices the resemblance to the stone face of the second Hokage. When Naruto asks him about it in his own way, Yamato hits him on the head, saying that he is the son of the second hokage and a very famous shinobi. Tenjun only smiles and says that the name “The red eyed Oni" doesn’t fit anymore, since his sharingan is much weaker now. Naruto digs deeper and learns that Tenjun's mother was an Uchiha. Naruto immediately thinks of Sasuke and becomes sad. Tenjun, who had learned from Tsunade that there are only two Uchihas left and that all the others had been wiped out by one of the brothers, nodded sadly. He said, however, that Naruto will get his friend back home and that he once had such important people too. And that these important people would push you further and further forward and Naruto should appreciate them. He looks inconspicuously at Kakashi, who at this moment pretends to read his book. Naruto notices this look and is confused. Before he can ask, Kakashi said that Naruto needs to practice. Tenjun watches regularly from now on and continues to monitor Naruto's training together with Yamato as Kakashi and Team 10 leave to avenge Asuma.
Itachi Pursuit Mission[]
Tsunade asked him if he wanted to be a member of the Council again and would like to assist her as an advisor. He accepts the offer and is there as Tsunade and Jiraiya talk and later as Teams 7 and 8 leave to look for Itachi. His body is still a little weak and so he wishes Kakashi good luck and watches them disappear in the rain. He wonders as he walks through the village what would have been if he had been there at the time of the Uchiha slaughter. He looks up at the Hokage faces and thinks of the deceased. Memories of Kotetsu and his mother come up. He wondered if it would not have been better if he had died in the attack. Suddenly, Shinji reaches for his shoulder and wants to warn him but it’s too late and someone stumbles upon him. He looks forward and sees a young woman. Shinji sighs behind him and says he should be careful. Tenjun apologizes and asks for her name. She introduces herself as Misara Uzumaki and that she wanted to go to Hokage. She apologizes too for not paying attention herself. Shinji immediately notices that something is transmitting between them and steps back. Misara explains that she is not a true member of Konoha, but a traveling shinobi. She only occasionally transmits information to Konoha. Then she says goodbye and rushes to the Hokage office. Tenjun looks after her with a smile and thinks she is a somewhat chaotic young but self-confident Shinobi. Shinji leaves the smile uncommented but shakes his head. Tenjun notices this and asks if he wants to say anything. Shinji's ears turn red, and he shakes his head. He says he didn't say anything, and they'd have to hurry to the next Konoha Coucil. Then Tenjun laughs, saying that Shinji still has a lot to learn and when he had become Tenjun's personal appointment calendar. Shinji stomps away angrily but draws Tenjun with him. The older laughs again and says with humor that he should not treat an Elder like this. Shinji points out that Tenjun only looks 40 and cannot be called an Elder. The other says, that he hopes that Shinji meant that as compliment. After that, they disappear from view. Later you can see him train to build up his muscle mass and how he manages some heavy jutsus again.
Jiraiya’s Dead[]
Tenjun is present when Team 7 returns from their mission. Kakashi and his gaze meet and Kakashi immediately sees in Tenjun's gaze that something is wrong. Tenjun is present when Kakashi get the information about Jiraiya’s dead and when this news is shared with Naruto, who was too distraught to be of assistance and needed some time alone. Before he died, Jiraiya sent several things to Konoha that would help them against Pain, including an encrypted message. Shikamaru can properly console and get Naruto to help him decode it, who realizes that the key to its decryption must be Icha Icha Tactics. Kakashi, having the only copy, is asked to read specific passages aloud, which makes him extremely uncomfortable. Nevertheless, the message is deciphered. Tenjun, who is also considered to be very intelligent, is also asked to be present. But he prefers to keep a low profile and watch the others. When Kakashi appears and reads his book, he then thinks if this is the right book for Kakashi and if there could be something more exciting. Naruto laughs at it and Tenjun is glad that the boy is a little happier again. He remembers that Jiraiya was already a lecher as a child and that the book suits him. Naruto is surprised that he knew Jiraiya. When Tenjun tells him that he is one year older than Jiraiya, Naruto doesn’t believe him. Before Naruto can interrogate him, Tenjun interrupts him and postpones it to later. What no one knows is that shortly after he wakes up, he and Tsunade look for clues as to why two assassinations were carried out. In between, Shinji also helps. In the meantime, they have their suspicions, but Tsunade says they have to postpone the indictment until later because of Jiraiya's death. That would be more important.
Pain's Assault[]
Pain attacks Konoha soon afterwards; while some of the Six Paths of Pain draw attention to themselves, others avoid conflict and try to learn the whereabouts of Naruto, who has gone to Mount Myōboku to train. Together with Shinji, he fights against some of the animals summoned by Pain. Suddenly, Shinji becomes stops his movements and then jumps away over Konoha's rooftops. Tenjun looks after him confused but suspects that Shinji has sensed something. As the invasion continued, Konan interrogated several Konoha shinobi on Naruto's whereabouts. But now villager betrays Naruto and one shinobi told Konan to "go to hell" with a smile on his face, despite the hopeless situation he was in. Just as she was about to kill him, Tenjun appears and involves her in a fight. Konan notices that he is a little weakened and asks him if he shouldn’t rest as other old man. Tenjun laughs and reaches for his sword, which Tsunade returned to him in the meantime. He shows his special skill as a Kenjutsu master, and many Shinobis watched astonished the fight. He uses different jutsus, like the fireball, and activates his sharingan to bring Konan into a genjutsu. Tenjun himself notes that he can’t use Susanoo and that his chakra isn’t yet perfect. Konan inflicts several wound on his limbs with her papers. He next uses a Fuinjutsu to lock her up, but she escapes again to the sky. She also attacks him again, breaking his mask. Before Tenjun can launch another attack, the Kunoichi suddenly disappears. The silver-haired Shinobi jokingly thinks that everyone must flee today. However, the villagers around him are cheering. Some older people are also shocked, because he is looks like his father and people only knew him with a mask. He tries to ignore the gazes and thinks about following Konan, but then realizes he can no longer feel Kakashi and sees one of the Pains high up in the sky. The Deva Path recalled Konan and the other five Paths out of the village where he detonated a powerful Shinra Tensei, destroying most of the village. A shock wave hits him, and only a last-minute barrier protects him and the others. When he opens his eyes again, he sees Misara bending over him and asks him how he is. She smiles when she sees his eyes open. He asks her what happened, and she helps him up. He looks around looking and sees that everything is destroyed. Suddenly she tells him he has a very beautiful face. He blinks and turns to her. She blushes and apologizes; she didn’t want to say it out loud. She wanted to ask him how he learned this Fuinjutsu. He explains that he learned it from Mito. She calculates his age based on the information and is shocked that he must be at least 50. He smiles and explains to her that he is in fact 55, but it doesn't matter now. He wants to intervene and fight again, but Misara tells him his leg is probably broken. Only now he does feel the pain. He clenches his fist and hits the ground furiously. He's angry that he's so helpless. Misara tries to heal his leg with healing jutsu, but she only partially succeeds. She says Tsunade or her pupil Sakura could help him more and apologizes for her lack of talent. Tenjun shakes his head and says that others have suffered worse. He searches for Kakashi again but finds no chakra of him. At that moment he notices another chakra, Naruto appeared. A smile appears on his face and at that moment Misara notices Naruto as well. He tries to get up again and succeeds only with Misaras help. He really wants to look for Kakashi to see what's wrong with him. Misara wonders what relationship the two have. Tenjun explains that he sees Kakashi as a son, and if he hadn't fallen into a coma, he would have become Kakashi's adoptive father. Misara shakes her head and tells him not to be so cryptic, and she continues to research to find out his secrets. As they move through the destroyed roads, they meet some villagers while passing by. One of them points to Tenjun and murmurs to his neighbor. Tenjun ignores this and focuses on moving forward. Misara, still feeling a little insecure in Konoha, is getting smaller and wonders why the people reacts like that. Tenjun says she shouldn't worry; the villagers only see his face for the first time. The young Konoichi finds this a bit strange, but before she can comment on it, they find Chōza and Chōji Akimichi with a Kakashi lying on the ground. When Tenjun sees the young Shinobi's tears, he knows that Kakashi is dead. He swallows the grief and detaches himself from Misara. She argues, but he is already limping to the Shinobi kneeling on the ground. Choza looks up and his eyes widen at Tenjun's sight. But he watches without anything as Tenjun puts a hand on his son's shoulder. Tenjun asks for the boy's name and smiles sadly as he turns around and answers. He explains that Kakashi is a Shinobi, and it is an honor for him to have protected his comrades. To conserve energy, he sits on one of the rubble and exhales heavily. He engages Choji in a conversation to distract him and notices in the corner of his eye that Choza exhale relieved. The group sits there and watch Naruto and Pain fight from a distance. When Naruto loses control, Tenjun shows concern, but the other Konoha Shinobi reassure him that Naruto would have always managed before. When Naruto regains control of the Kyuubi, he remembers Mito and her willpower. He gets the idea that Naruto has the same power and smiles lightly. After Pain is defeated and Naruto leaves the battlefield, he follows him with his chakra and realizes where he wants to go. When Kakashi and all the other dead awaken, he reacts surprised like everyone else, but knows Naruto is the reason for the phenomenon. When Choji cries and is overjoyed that Kakashi is alive, Tenjun nods in agreement and wipes his tears away unnoticed. It just seems Misara notices and leaves it uncommented. He observes how Kakashi looks around confused and is a little dazed. Tenjun hands him his own forehead protector and commends “for your sharingan.” Then he asks him if he wants to meet Naruto. He is sure the villagers are all waiting. A medi-nin then heals his leg as everyone waits. As Naruto returns to Konoha after defeating Pain, Tenjun along with Misara watches his victory being celebrated by all Konoha's villagers. He watches as Kakashi is helped to stand and as he slowly makes his way to the forest. Later he is there as everyone is told that Tsunade fell in coma. He gets the message he must attend a meeting with the Daimyo as the Anbu Commander for an emergency meeting. He sighs annoyed and thinks he already knows what's coming for him.
The new Hokage candidate[]
Equipped with a new wolf mask, he participates in the meeting with the other leaders of Konoha. He quickly realizes Danzos true desire. He himself restrains himself and observes first. But as Danzo rejects Shikaku's suggestions and drags Kakashi through the mire, Tenjun becomes angry. When Danzo says that the hokage's peaceful ideology has only harmed Konoha, Tenjun sees red and releases his chakra. The pressure in the room increases and the individual pates find it difficult to breathe. The walls tremble and the daimyo is shaking. Shikaku gets a hunch about who is the masked man. He asks Tenjun if it's time to take off the mask and speak plainly. Tenjun nods and speaks for the first time and asks Danzo why he he is lying. Everyone in the room looks back and forth between them and waits for Tenjun to take off his mask. Tenjun suppresses his chakra again and takes off his mask. The others react shocked and think they have Tobirama Senju in front of them, but Utatane and Mitokado ask if he is Tenjun and how that is possible. Danzo, who also recognized him, grinds his teeth angrily and says nothing. The daimyo doesn’t know who Tenjun is and therefore asks. Shikaku explains Tenjun's origin and identity. Tenjun adds that he was in a coma for a long time and woke up a year ago, but Tsunade wanted to keep Tenjun's identity as a secret because of an assassination attempt on him shortly after he woke up. Shikaku mentions that Tenjun was once a candidate for 4th Hokage before being injured in the 3rd Shinobi War. Tenjun waved off this and said it was nothing special. The daimyo is enthusiastic about Shikaku's statement and asks the others if they accept Tenjun as hokage. The others nod in agreement. Only Danzo sits between them and expresses his disagreement. Danzo explains that Tenjun would only weaken the village and continue in the same way as the previous Hokages, especially following his father as an example. The daimyo pauses and then says that Tobirama Senju was considered a strong man. Danzo argues that Tenjun owns the Sharingan and that a uchiha should not be allowed to be hokage. Tenjun reacts once again with anger, as he remembers the hauntings from his childhood. Shikaku again tries to smooth things out and mentions that quarrels are useless and that they must act quickly. He again mentions the merits of Tenjun and that he is a war hero, whereupon Tenjun clears his throat embarrassed. Before Danzo can intervene again, the Daimyo gets up and appoints Tenjun as the sixth Hokage candidate. As a Hokage candidate, he passes the title of Anbu Commander to Shinji, whom he now knows is Kakashi's son. But he promised not to tell him.
Five Kage Summit[]
What Tenjun finds out later, at the same time as the meeting, a message from Raikage reaches the village together with Kumogakure's team Samui. They want to go after Sasuke because he kidnapped Killer B. When Danzō returned from the meeting earlier than the others he intercepts the request and pretends to be Hokage. He allows Team Samui to capture Sasuke. Then Danzo disappears with two of his most loyal ninjas and leaves the village. Karui and Omoi overheard Naruto, Sai and Sakura talking about Sasuke, so they attacked Naruto, Sakura and Sai. They explain that Sasuke had attacked and captured their sensei, and that he is an Akatsuki member. They explain that the Hokage Danzo has declared Sasuke as a Missing Nin and they are allowed to hunt him. Naruto and the others react stunned and don’t believe it. Karui wants information about Sasuke from them, and just as she wants to hit them, someone is holding her back from behind. When they turn around, Tenjun and Kakashi are standing there. Tenjun asks what this ruckus is about and what they want. When Karui angry explains the situation and Naruto calls in between if it’s true that Danzo is Hokage, both silver-haired men react confused. Tenjun asks what Naruto means and why Danzo should be Hokage. He explains that the Fire Daimyo and the Konoha delegation meeting agreed that Tenjun is hokage and that he has the authority to decide. It is revealed that Team Samui has been deceived and when they ask the request again, Tenjun denies it. Danzo wasn’t Hokage and is therefore not allowed to grant Kumogakure's request, the pledge is null and void. Karui reacts furiously but is held back by her teammate. Tenjun apologizes to her for the confusion and that Sasuke is Konoha's affair. However, he understands their pain and offers Konoha Shinobis to help them find their sensei. He also sends some Anbus in search of Danzo and learns that he has left Konoha.
After the Kumogakure’s leave Shinobis Konoha, Tenjun sighs and wonders if it was a wrong idea to become Hokage. Naruto thanks Tenjun, but he tells the blond Shinobi that the Raikage could ignore his Rejection and hunt Narutos friend without the consent of the Hokage. Naruto then wants to go to Raikage and ask him himself. Tenjun explains that the Raikage is probably on his way to the Kage Summit and Naruto could accompany him to ask pardon for Sasuke's actions. Tenjun later departed for the Kage Summit with Shinji and Misara as his bodyguards and Kakashi, Yamato and Naruto. Upon arrival in the Land of Iron, Kakashi proposes to separate. It would be better if the hokage is not seen with them. Tenjun arrives at the meeting point and as the meeting's start, the Raikage gets angry and the Kages accuse each other. Tenjun observes as always and doesn’t interfere at first. When the Raikage turn to him directly and blame Konoha because Orochimaru and Itachi were from Konoha. And then there's the special treatment of Sasuke. Misara interrupts the argument and says Tenjun has nothing to do with it. The Tsuchikage orders that the Hokage must control his followers better. Tenjun raises his hand and orders Misara to go back behind the curtain. Then he releases his chakra and shakes the earth by lifting a finger. Tenjun says the accusations are useless and he was sadly in a coma when the Akatsuki evolved into what they are now. And the Kages should please all stop accusing each other, because they behave like children and that in its time the Kages behaved more rationally, even if there was constant war. Mei Terumi asks him what he means by that. Tenjun explains his situation and that his appearance deceives her, he is older and has seen all wars. The Tsuchikage points out the rumor would be true that the Shinobi named "The red eyed Oni" is still alive and that his appearance is the evidence. Tenjun bows his head questioningly and gets the answer, that he looks very similar to his father, the second Hokage.
Then one of Mizukage's bodyguards appears out of the shadows and announces Tenjun would have to be well over 50 if that’s true. The Hokage wrinkles his forehead and answers humorously if they had never heard of age-slowing jutsus and that there might be more important things than his history. Suddenly, White Zetsu appeared before the Kage, announcing that Sasuke Uchiha was nearby. Enraged, A choked Zetsu, snapping his neck when he failed to answer his inquiries about Sasuke, before storming out of the meeting room with his guards. Outside, Sasuke had already defeated all the Land of Iron's guards. However, the Kage prove to be stronger than Sasuke had imagined. Sasuke and the Raikage fight each other, and A loses an arm, but breaks Sasuke's Susanoo. When Sasuke arrived in the room with the other kages, he notices that Danzo is not present. He must have been set up by Zetsu. Sasuke's attempt to leave is blocked by the Fifth Mizukage. With his chakra running low, Sasuke nearly succumbs to her Boil Release, only to be saved by White Zetsu's Spore Technique. Tenjun is reluctant to intervene but knows that his restraint can be misinterpreted. Tenjun attacks Sasuke with Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique, who says it is a Jutsu of the Uchiha Clan and he has no right to use it. Tenjun activates his Sharingan and shocks Sasuke with his white Susanoo. Before Sasuke can react, the Tsuchikage appears in front of him and seemingly vaporises him with Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique. Sasuke is saved at the last moment by Tobi, who sends him to Kamui's Dimension to keep him safe; he also sends Karin with him to revitalize him. Tobi telling them then about his Eye of the Moon Plan, in the process revealing that B eluded capture. Tobi then requested that B, along with Naruto be handed over to him. Tenjun and the other Kage refused, prompting Tobi to declare the start of the Fourth Shinobi World War. A Shinobi Alliance was suggested again. The Kage decided it would be best to hide the two remaining hosts from the front line as both are unpredictable on the battlefield and that A would be the Alliance leader.
On their way home, Tenjun reflects on the past wars and is happy that the villages finally fighting together. On the other hand, he finds it sad that there is another war, and this is his fourth war. Misara asks him what makes him so sad, but he doesn’t answer. Suddenly they are attacked, but he can dodge the attack because he has already sensed the enemy before. But he marvels at the tremendous destruction of the Jutsus, some lightning still dangles around the trees and the snow was blown away all around them. All three get ready for battle and Tenjun activates his sharingan. He senses the enemy at 6 o'clock. Tenjun draws his sword and envelops it in his chakra. A voice comes from behind saying that it was true that there was another Uchiha alive and not just Lord Mizukage and this boy. Misara ask the stranger to come out. But she gets nothing but an answer. With his Sharingan he changes his gaze between the trees and notices a shadow. The next moment clouds appear over them and lightning strikes in the air. Despite his sharingan, Tenjun cannot recognize which jutsu or chakra nature it is. Then a tidal wave immediately follows and Misara suspects it to be a Raiton and Suiton user. But Tenjun deny this, because he doesn’t know these jutsus and they are too strong for a one chakra nature. Shinji then considers whether it is a Kekkai Genkai, something Tenjun also suspects. His opponent says that they are probably very smart, even if the woman is a bit hotheaded. Misara raises her fist and screams at him to keep his mouth shut. He's just laughing. Tenjun commands her to stay calm and she should be vigilant, but she knows that herself. Tenjun suspects the opponent to be an Anbu or Hunter-nin. Tenjun senses that another attack is coming and orders Misara to build a protective wall. He himself activates Susanoo for the first time after his waking up and hopes it works. He wraps his bodyguards in it and when the fog disappears a man appearing through the burnt trees. He wears an Akatsuki coat and wears a Kirigakure Forehead Protector over his eyes. Some attacks are exchanged, Shinji absorbs a simple Raiton attack with Meiton: Kyuuketsukou. Tenjun realizes that the strong thunderstorm-like attacks take time and consume a lot of chakra. Before an attack, chakra accumulates in his eyes and hands. Then flashes and clouds appears. When the attacks disappear, it smells of rain and until the Akatsuki makes the next attack of this power, he uses simple jutsus. Tenjun calculates the time between attacks and counter attacks. Misara is injured and falls to the ground. The Akatsuki surrounds Tenjun with some water clones, but Tenjun uses a Fire Jutsu and sets the water clones on fire. His opponent praises his skill and forms lightning again. Tenjun knows he wants to launch another attack and draws his sword. He wraps it again with chakra and attacks the enemy. They cross their weapons several times until Tenjun is able to slit his opponent's hip. The Akatsuki falls to the ground and draws to a tree, breathing heavily. Even if his condition is bad, he activates another storm attack. Lightning strikes next to Tenjun and he can only save himself with Susanoo. When the attack is gone, Susanoo is half gone. Tenjun's side is smoking and bleeding. Tenjun supports himself with his sword sheath and and waits until the smoke clears around the Akatsuki. He notices that others are on the way. When the smoke is completely gone, the Akatsuki is gone. There's only one trace of blood left. Suddenly, Shinji appears and has reinforcements with him. He says after Tenjun disappeared and Misara was hurt, she sent him back to the Kages. With him is the Mizukage and her bodyguards. Tenjun explains the situation to them, and they immediately know who the Akatsuki is. Mei Terumi describes that he is Yuzan Hōzuki of the Hōzuki Clan and had a rare ability. He has just like the Tsuchikage a Kekkei Touta and by combining water, lightning, and wind, he can control the weather. Tenjun and Mei agree that she will follow the blood trail and he will continue to Konoha. Shinji and Tenjun say goodbye and go back to Misara. She has healed her wounds by now and was about to leave. She is surprised by Tenjun's wounds and rushes to him. Shinji smiles at her behaviour and notices that Tenjun has also blushed. Tenjun lets himself heal and then pushes both bodyguards to hurry back to Konoha. When they arrive in Konoha, they learn that Sasuke has killed Danzo and that Tsunade has awakened. He's very happy to give up his rank now. Arriving at Tsunade, she congratulates him on his new rank. He shakes his head and wants to give her the office again, but she thinks he would be a good choice and it should stay that way. Tenjun sighs loudly, but still reports to her about the Kage Summit. He also suggests that she remains Hokage and that he is only Hokage candidate. He would prefer that, what if he were to die in the war. Tsunade shakes her head and says he shouldn't think so negatively. But Tenjun only means that he had seen so many wars and was still not strong as before. Misara speaks up and describes his fight against Sasuke and the Akatsuki. Tsunade agrees with him that he is strong enough and that she could do nothing to stop his trembling anyway. His amount of chakra would probably stay that way. Tsunade orders then a meeting to make preparations for the coming war. Fourth Shinobi World War
Three days later, the other Alliance heads met in Kumogakure to discuss the Alliance's organization. Tenjun is present as Tsunade's companion, even if he seems a little annoyed. As their first matter of business, they discussed what to do with the jinchūriki. Tsunade believed that Killer B and Naruto should be allowed to fight on the front lines, whereas A and the other leaders believed they should be sent into hiding, to prevent the enemy from capturing them. Tenjun agrees with the others and advises Tsunade to hide Naruto. She reluctantly gives in. A selected the Island Turtle as the hiding place and assures them of its security. Tenjun is also there later where they, together with Shikaku Nara, who has become a good friend of Tenjun, prepare the war and plan the units. Tenjun suggests that Kakashi be the leader of a division and adds Shinji his division. Most of the Alliance's leaders head to the battlefield when the war begins, but Tsunade and the Fourth Raikage remain at the Allied headquarters to discuss tactics, coordinate troop movements, and process new intel. Tenjun stays at Tsunade’s side but thinks about intervening in the fights. However, he is held back by Tsunade and explains to him his later role against Madara as one of the last Uchiha. On the first night of fighting, they receive reports that Naruto and B have escaped the Island Turtle. The Raikage takes Tsunade with him to head them off; she leaves behind one of Katsuyu's divisions in case she needs to be contacted about anything. Tenjun stays behind and works out new tactics with Shikaku. Then the information comes in about the White Zetsus that they have the DNA of the first Hokage. This makes him sad and angry, just like Tsunade who has just arrived again with A.
Then the information of powerful chakra on the enemy side reaches the headquarters. The Fourth Division encounters the reincarnated Mū on the first day of hostilities. Akatsuki responds by sending the Second Mizukage, the Third Raikage, and the Fourth Kazekage to reinforce Mū. Onoki explains that Mu also knows the Jiton and that he is the only chance against him. A says the Alliance can hope to have strong Futon users, this would only help against his father, the previous Raikage. He explains that the Raikage is a very strong spear and shield. Tenjun has an idea and asks if he should accompany Onoki. Because he also has a very strong shield and spear. A looks at him doubtfully, but after de Tenjun declares that the strongest Futon user is still on his way to the battlefield, he accepts Tenjun's suggestion. He knows that he only has limited chakra amounts and can't last that long. His hope is that Naruto will show up soon enough.
On the battlefield, he observes how Gaara seals Rasa and that the other Kages destroyed the sealing. Growing up in the time when the two resurrected lived, he knows about the abilities of the Raikage. Unfortunately, he knows nothing about the Mizukages, as this has been hidden and even the Kirigakure Shinobi know nothing. However, he soon realizes which ability is Mizukages. Identifying himself as a Lightning Release user, A instructed the opposition to have their Earth Release shinobi construct defences, while those with Wind Release attacked him relentlessly. But the wind attacks don’t work and the Raikage breaks through their defenses. Some Shinobis are injured, but Tenjun intervenes and activates his Susanoo. He draws his sword and envelops it with his red chakra. The Raikage recognizes him and asks him how “The red eyed oni” could still live. Tenjun sarcastically says that he is happy to see him again and attacks with his blade. The Raikage breaks a rib of the Susanoo but has to retreat because of Tenjuns sword blow. After several more attempts, Tenjun catches his arm with his sword, and the Sealing team tries to seal the Raikage. However, their efforts proved to ultimately be ineffective, as A was able to regenerate before the Sealing Team could act. A Kumogakure Shinobi steps forward to Tenjun and the Raikage recognizes him as Dodai. Dodai explains to Temari and Tenjun that only strong futon jutsus work. Temari believes that there is no stronger futon user, but Tenjun contradicts this and explains that Naruto is on his way. During the conversation, he keeps an eye on the enemy and notices that his eyes have changed. Through his father's knowledge of revival jutsu, he now knows that the Raikage is a puppet. But he can also sense Naruto’s clone and is not surprised when he appears. Naruto immediately attacks the Raikage but fails with his first Rasegan Shuriken. Tenjun asks him what he plans to do next. Then the Raikage attacks again and Tenjun can only evade by reading his moves with his sharingan. He helps with the barrier against the Raikage and protects some Shinobis with his Susanoo. When the Shinobis refuse to listen to Dodai and attack the Raikage, he protects their bodies with his special ability Ōkuninushi.
The Raikage reducing the number of fingers of his Hell Stab technique to just one as he advanced, A's attack is dodged by Naruto using the enhanced reflexes and sensory abilities granted by Sage Mode and parried with a Rasengan, aimed at A's left arm. The force of the blow caused A to impale himself with his own attack and as his body began to crumble, the Sealing Team took immediate action and completed his imprisonment. Tenjun praises Naruto and pats his hair but is surprised by himself and his move. He suggests that they should regroup with Gaara and Onoki, who already defeated the Second Mizukage. Fourth Shinobi World War: Climax Victory seemed near when the Sensor Division detected a new threat near the Fourth Division: Mu, who split himself before his sealing, and the reincarnated Madara Uchiha. Shocked by this revelation, they all wondered who the masked man, Tobi, really was. Madara gave them little time to discuss it and attacked them immediately. He cut swaths through the Fourth Division's ranks and used his Rinnegan to avoid the clone's, the Tsuchikage's, and Gaara's counterattack. Wishing to eliminate them all at once, Madara dropped a meteorite on them. When Onoki and Gaara try to stop the Metorite, Tenjun activates his Susanoo again, but falls to the ground due to lack of chakra. Naruto asks him worried if he's okay. Before Susanoo can completely disappear, Tenjun stands up and activates Ōkuninushi again. He wraps Susanoo's ribs around the shinobis to protect them but cannot save them all. When the dust is gone, Tenjun sees that many have been killed. He slaps his fist on the ground and looks up at Madara with bloody eyes. Madara comments that he is surprised that an Uchiha is with them and thinks he recognizes Tenjun. At Tenjun's birth, Madara was already gone, but Madara guesses Tenjun's parents and knows that this is his nephew in front of him. He laughs at the chance to meet his sister's son and that Senju idiot. Madara mocks Tenjun and thinks it is a pity that he has the Sharingan but looks exactly like his father. It should be a disgrace such a ability for a half Uchiha. When Madara laughs about Tenjun again, many of the Shinobis from Suna, Kiri and Iwa look at him in amazement and notice his resemblance to the Second Hokage. Naruto becomes angry and defends Tenjun by mentioning some of his actions. Tenjun calms Naruto and gets up. He calls out to Madara that he could fight well without Sharingan and that he is considered a Kenjutsu master. He promises to defeat Madara and show that sharingan is taking too much importance. Madara just laughs and tries to summon the Nine-Tails. Although it fails, the fox senses the attempt and offered some chakra to help fight Madara, preferring Naruto over the Uchiha. Madara activates Nativity of a World of Trees to counter Narutos and Tenjuns attack. A spear pierces Tenjun and he falls to the ground bleeding. Naruto protects the falling Tenjun, but the extended fighting left the clone exhausted afterwards. Madara moved in to capture it, but was parried by the arrival of Tsunade, the Fourth Raikage, and the Fifth Mizukage. The Five Kage vowed to deal with Madara themselves and asked that Naruto should instead focus on defeating Tobi. Tsunade heals Tenjun's wound and asks him to stand up and if he could help the fourth division. Then he can help them. Fight against Madara
Naruto's clone vanishes, remnants of the Fourth Division and Tenjun pursue Mū's half, and the Kage engage Madara. Although the Kage pull off some attacks that impress even Madara, they cannot hope to defeat him so long as he is an immortal reincarnation that recovers from all injuries. All they can hope to do is endure against Madara's various powers until Kabuto is defeated and the Impure World Reincarnation is broken. Meanwhile, Tenjun defeated Mu with his water jutsus and kenjutsu. Then he comes to the Kage aid. As night starts to fall, the Kage and Tenjun cannot last much longer, Madara having multiple clones that are each using Susanoo to outnumber them six-to-one. Before he can wage a final attack, Madara is engulfed in light and his soul begins to ascend, Kabuto having elsewhere been defeated. Madara releases himself from the influence of the Impure World Reincarnation, granting him an immortal body. Free to do what he wants, Madara decides to go find Naruto. The Kage and Tenjun tries to stop him, but everyone brought to the verge of death in an unseen battle and Madara escapes. Later, upon the arrival of Karin, Suigetsu and Orochimaru at the battlefield, Tsunade was healed by Karin. After being considerably healed, she in turn helped in healing Tenjun and the other Kage. With no time to lose, they all made their way to the battlefield atop Gaara's sand. While closing in on the battlefield, they first see the Ten-Tails' tree form and are informed by Katsuyu about the most recent developments. Tenjun senses that both his father, uncle and the other Hokage are fighting on the front lines and informs Tsunade of this. He notices how his hands start to shake, but his cousin is able to calm him down. Then they are contacted telepathically by Hashirama Senju who is surprised that Tenjun is with the Kages.
Birth of the Ten-Tails' Jinchūriki[]
Tenjun arrives with the other on the battlefield and his uncle greets him and Tsunade warmly. Sasuke also seems to recognize Tenjun and grinds his teeth. After greeting them, Hashirama reveals the purpose of the God Tree recreation now looming over them: to cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Tenjun locates his father, the fourth Hokage and Naruto and teams up with them. The situation between his father and him is a bit uncomfortable. Both don't seem to know what to say and even Minato feels the thick air. Naruto reminds them that they have another problem. Tenjun says to his father it would be nice to see him and if he hopes they can talk after the battle. Tobirama smiles at it and pats his back. However, this is interrupted by one of Obi's attacks. Together they coordinate efforts to attack Obito with many attacks, but Obito emerges without damage. Tenjun tries it a few times with his Kenjutsu when they realize that only physical attacks and Senjustu work. With a weakness discovered, Obito traps the Alliance within a barrier so that he can wipe them out with multiple Tailed Beast Balls. Naruto comes up with a way for him and Minato to teleport the entire Alliance to safety. When he sees how Naruto's chakra is almost exhausted and he couldn't protect everyone from the tree’s roots, he asks Naruto if he can help him. He suggests only giving him some chakra, so he can activate a special jutsu. Tobirama watches his son in amazement, especially when he activates Susanoo and wraps multiple Susanoo rips around many shinobis by activating Ōkuninushi. Sasuke also seems to be surprised, as he did not know this ability before. He didn’t manage so many shinobis like Naruto but rescued a few. However, this jutsu requires a lot of chakra. Tenjun's fingers start to tremble, and he falls backwards. His father just manages to catch him. Naruto and Minato launch further attacks on Obito, while Tenjun gasp and lean on his father. They have a few minutes in which Tobirama takes a closer look at his son. He tells him that he has grown up, but that he looks a bit too young if he can do the maths. In brief words, Tenjun explains that Danzo made an assassination attempt on him in the third war and that he only woke up from a coma a year ago. A jutsu by Mito, instead of waking him, did not age him properly and now he looked 40. He flinches as his father's fingers claw at his arm. His father apologises but remains angry. Unfortunately, they don't have much time. Obito is defeated and the Ten-Tails is removed from his body, but Madara successfully restored to life. While Madara prepares to become the Ten-Tails' next jinchūriki, Tobirama and Tenjun launches desperate attacks to stop him. Tobirama quickly realizes that if he had come back all this years back, they would probably have soon become a two-man team after his son became a Jounin. Their chakra natures are similar, and both can activate powerful water jutsus. With Susanoo, Tenjun protects his father a few times. While Tobirama attacks with his fists and legs, Tenjun uses his sword. Madara insults Tenjun again and throws him several meters through the air. The silver-haired Shinobi hits the ground and is pierced by his own sword in the next moment. He spits up blood and only sees blurry how Madara pins Tobirama with multiple black receivers. Then Sasuke attacks Madara and Tenjun must watch as Sasuke is pierced too with a sword and seems to die. Even if his own wound is not life-threatening, his sword pins him to the ground. Shortly afterwards, Kabuto Yakushi arrives in time to save Sasuke. Once he's well, Sasuke removes the black receivers from Tobirama's body. Tobirama wants to look for his son first. Both teleport to Tenjun and Sasuke pulls out the sword. Then Tobirama teleport Sasuke and Tenjun to Naruto's location to face Madara.
Kaguya Ōtsutsuki Strikes[]
Despite their efforts, Sasuke and Naruto cannot stop Madara from initiating the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Tobirama and the other Hokage, being the only ones unaffected. The Infinite Tsukuyomi trapping the world in a dream, also Tenjun. He dreams that his father never died and came back to his Son and Wife. He stays Hokage and Kagami never died. His Genin team remains the same, together with Dan and Kotetsu. After he becomes a Jonin, he forms a team together with his father. His uncle and aunt are also still alive and there are no more wars. After his parents die of old age, he becomes Hokage and changes the village, also more rights for the Uchiha clan. The Fourth Hokage and his wife survived the Nine-Tails' Attack on Konoha, and the Uchiha Clan Downfall never happened. After a few years, he marries Misara. In his dream, Kakashi is also happy. Although he has lost his father, Tenjun has adopted him. Naruto and Sasuke eventually release the Infinite Tsukuyomi, freeing Tenjun and the rest of the world and thus ending the Fourth Shinobi World War. Before his father and the other Kage are returned to the afterlife by the Sage of Six Paths, they talk about Tenjuns life and how Yoshiko died. Tenjun explains how Kagami died too and how was his life after he woke up. Tobirama apologizes for leaving his son so young and that he regrets so much more. Tenjun says he has forgiven him and that it is okay. Hashirama comes along and puts an arm around Tenjun. He jokes and says that Tobirama should not worry, because his line would also be continued. Tenjun retreats from Hashirama and asks him with a bright red head what he meant by that. Hashirama only points back to Misara, who looks at the three from afar anxiously. Hashirama would sense that there was something, but Tenjun fiercely refuses. Tobirama thinks that Tenjun's temperament would remind him very much of him and his wife. Then his father and uncle say goodbye, wishing him good luck and returns to the afterlife. Tobirama silently promising he would tell his wife everything that had occurred and that he will be happy to see her.
Naruto: The Last[]
He is now a few years older, but because the Jutsu does not age him properly, he still looks like he is in his mid-40s. Two years after the Fourth Shinobi World War he is a advisor of Kakashi. He declined the title of Hokage and passed it on to Kakashi. Nevertheless, many still call him Six Hokage Candidate. At the beginning of the film, he has a date with Misara and meets Shinji on their walk, who is on his way to his father. Tenjun and Misara laugh at the resemblance between the two. Both are happy that Kakashi now has a family too. Later in the office, Tenjun makes one of his few jokes that Kakashi should hurry up or his wife will get mad. He shows trust towards Naruto and the team throughout the film. He also doesn’t seem to leave Kakashi's side.
Naruto’s Wedding[]
Tenjun and Misara gives Naruto the history of the Uzumaki Clan and a cloak that the Uzumaki Can chiefs used to wear. He traditionally wears a kimono with haori and hakama to the wedding. He stands out a bit and when Kakashi asks him if it's not a bit too much, Tenjun says they all don't know what's right. But Kakashi and Tenjun laugh together and both with families talk. During the wedding Kiba boasts about how his and Shino present is the best among the gifts, the History of the Senju Clan. Tenjun, who finds this amusing, questions Kiba and catches him out that he has no idea. As Tenjun and Misara watch Naruto and Hinata, she asks him when he will ask the question. He just says that she shouldn't worry about it. Blank Period He has proposed to her a while ago and she is pregnant now. They think together about what name the boy should have. Misara suggests his father's name, but he doesn’t think it is in keeping with the times. Misara then suggests naming the boy Kotetsu. Tenjun seems to agree.
New Era[]
Kotetsu is now the same age as Boruto and Sarada. Tenjun, who is now 70 but still looks like he is in his mid-50s, is starting to have problems with aging so slowly. Misara, who now looks around 40, is happy about it, though. Kotetsu, who grew up with the stories about his father, grandfather, and great uncle, is afraid of disappointing his father because he still hasn’t his sharingan. Tenjun can cheer him up again and then shows him how to complete a contact with the wolves. Kotetsu must promise him, however, that he will not tell Misara. In the Chunin exam, however, Kotetsu summons a wolf. Tenjun rejoices, but immediately feels the shadow of his wife. She is furious that he has taught her son such a thing. He can only calm her down with difficulty. When their son wins, however, they both cheer. Tenjun is still an advisor of the hokage and regularly attends meetings, as well as still serving as Anbu Commander. In a flashback, you see how he rebuilt the Uchiha district together with Sasuke. As the last Uchihas, despite the initial problems, they often talk.

- The name Tenjun comes from Tenjin (天神). Tenjin is in Shintō the kami of scholarship, calligraphy, writing and the patron god of scribes and scholars. That fits, because of his intelligence and he is a inventor of many jutsus and reads a lot.
- And the clan's symbol of the Senju resembles a Vajra, a symbol in Buddhism. Therefore symbolized both his first name and surname the most important religions.
- It is to be assumed that the Jutsu, which does not allow him to age properly, is similar to the Jutsu Ninja Type: Mitotic Regeneration
