You can always contact either Shadowpuppy270343 or KusaNin for help. :)

How To Use

This should be the first thing you add to your character's page. To do that, follow these steps:

1. Click the "View source" button at the top of this page.

Part3

2. Copy all of the code.

Part4

3. Go to your article and paste the code in Source Editor.

Part5 Part6

4. Delete Everything Underneath the |} Symbols

Part6.5

How To Edit: Method One

Once the template is on your OC's page, you'll need to add in your character's information. The first method is quick and easy, but lacks the same range of ability to add details that Method Two has.

Switch To Visual Editor

The quickest way to edit information is to switch to the Visual Editor, by clicking on the dropdown menu in the upper righthand corner. It is labeled to match whatever editor you are currently using. Part7

Double Click To Edit

Part8 Part8.5 Part8.75

Add, Move, and Delete Rows

To add a row, click on one of the rows already available, then click on the little arrow on the left.
Part11
Then select "Insert Above" or "Insert Below" depending on where you want your new row to be.
Part12
You can also move rows the same way, by clicking either "Move Above/Below," and delete rows by clicking "Delete Row."

Add Hyperlinks

To add a hyperlink, highlight the text you want to add a link to, and then click the link symbol in the editor ribbon above.
Part13
If the item you are trying to add a hyperlink to is from the source material (aka canon, from Naruto and not written by you or anyone else on this wiki), you will need to select External Link.
Part14
Copy the link you'll need. You'll have to go to the Naruto wikia for that. Part15
Paste the link into the space provided, then click "Done."
Part16
If the link you need is from this wiki, repeat the first step. Do not click on External Link. Instead, type in the title of the article you want to link to in the space provided. Select the article you need when it shows up.
Part18
If the text turns blue, you have successfully turned it into a hyperlink.

Method One Warnings

Adding More Information

If you need to add more items in a row or table than there are already available — for example, if your OC has more than 6 family members — it is recommended that you use Method Two. You can add additional items in the Visual Editor, but it will not be formatted correctly.

Don't "Insert Paragraph"

You might hover your cursor over what looks like empty space, and be given the option to "insert a paragraph." Please do not do this, or else the code of the template will be effected and change how the infobox is supposed to look.
Part9

Don't Delete The "Empty" Spaces

While using the Visual Editor, you may notice that the infobox looks like it has a lot of empty spaces, especially in the collapsible menus and around the tabs at the top. These spaces disappear once the page is saved. If you delete these spaces, the code of the template will be effected and change how the infobox is supposed to look.
Part10

Press Ctrl + Z To Undo Any Mistakes

If you accidentally do delete any of the "spaces" or insert a paragraph, simply hold the Ctrl key and the Z key to undo your previous action.

Collapsible Menus

Initially, you won't be able to make any changes to the Jutsu and Tools menus because they are collapsed by default. You can edit them by using tips from Method Two.

How To Edit: Method Two

For this method, you'll be working entirely in the Source Editor.

Find What You Want To Change

Let's say you first want to change the Character Name placeholder at the very top of the infobox. To do that, you'll need to locate that line of code in the Source Editor.
Part19
Part20

Now Change It

Replace the text with your OC's name.
Part21

Preview

To make sure your edit was made correctly, we can click the Preview button at the bottom of the screen.
Part22
The Preview button allows you to see how your article will look without saving any changes you made. It is a very handy tool that I recommend you use every time you make a change to any article, just to check to see if you did it right.
Part23

Another Example

Say you want to add more jutsu to your infobox. Scroll through the code until you find the jutsu section.
Part24
Another line of code is added when you add a "Jutsu Example<br />" after the most recent "<br />" tag.
Part25
Be sure to leave the </p></div></div> tags.

Adding Rows

Let's say you want to add another row underneath the Classification row. The easiest way to do this is to copy the classification row:
Part26
And then paste everything you copied directly below it:
Part27
Now replace the "Classification" title with whatever you want. Also be sure to replace the filler text with any relevant information.
Part28
And afterwards, we click the Preview button to check that it was added correctly:Part29

Moving Rows

To move a row, highlight its lines of code in the Source Editor and cut (Ctrl + X) it, then backspace away the remaining space. You could also do this to delete a row.
Part30
Paste what you cut underneath the lines of code representing the row you want it to be beneath.
Part31
Click Preview to make sure it was moved correctly.
Part32

Changing Images

To change the placeholder images, highlight their file names in the Source Editor:
Part33
Replace it with the name of your uploaded file:
Part34
And after we click the Preview button, we can see that the change was performed correctly.
Part35

Changing Image Sizes

You can change the size of the images by changing the number with the "px" after the | symbol.
Part36
Part37

Adding Images

If you want to add an image with its own tab, copy the most recent tab and its file:
Part38
And, just like with adding a new row, paste your copied content directly beneath what you just copied.
Part39
Change the title of the tab, and replace the placeholder image with your image.
Part40
And, like always, click the Preview button to see that it worked:
Part41

Adding Icons

If you want to add or change an icon in the infobox — like if your character's birthday requires a different zodiac sign — go to our Icons page. When you are there, click the "Edit" button, and switch to the Source Editor.
Part42
Scroll down to the section containing the icon you're looking for. In our example, we'll need to find the Zodiac Signs.
Part43
Select the zodiac sign you need. DO NOT copy the <p style="text-align: left;"> or </p> tags. For the purpose of our example, we'll be using the Sagittarius sign.
Part44
Return to your page, and replace the code already present in the Birthday row with the code you copied.
Part45
Click Preview to check that it worked:
